Recently, KUNFENG CRANES supplied two cleanroom overhead cranes to Shanghai Institute Of Optics And Fine Mechanics (SIOM), the forefront of Chinese national research institutions since 1964. For the research and operations in laboratory, optical design, laser technology, precision engineering, optical imaging, and measurement systems has a strict requirement for the working environment.

Considering the cleanliness of the overall workshop and the coordination of the crane, our engineers have recommended that SIOM install a driving track that runs through the two rooms before building a clean room. This will ensure the cleanliness of each laboratory and eliminate the need for columns, saving costs for SIOM. The overall workshop cleanliness and crane coordination will also be better maintained. The clean room can be built later. 

Main Components of Cleanroom Crane:

• Crane Beam: SIOM has been provided with two clean room cranes, which are made of a strong and durable carbon steel structure. The surface of the cranes has been treated layer by layer to ensure a smooth appearance, free of roughness, dents or other inconsistencies. Additionally, a protective coating of epoxy paint has been applied to enhance the cranes' resistance to environmental factors and corrosion. This ensures the cranes' high quality and durability.

• Traveling Mechanism refers to the crane end carriage, which uses high-load and durable traveling wheels to ensure safe and efficient operation with low noise.

• Double Girder Trolley: Less but safe distance to the ends ensuring high space utilization.

• Clean room hoist: It is designed with an electric chain hoist and a dust cover. It has a compact structure and good sealing performance, which can effectively prevent dust. Suitable for ISO Class 6 clean room workshops.
