Maintenance of Polyurethane Conveyor Belt Cleaner

Polyurethane conveyor belt cleaners usually consist of a scraper system, an adjustment mechanism, a support frame and drive components. Its core component, the scraper, is mostly made of highly wear-resistant, self-lubricating polyurethane material.   ● Poor cleaning effect: It may be caused by the loose fit between the scraper and the conveyor belt, loose adjustment mechanism, or improper selection of scraper material.

  ● Increased noise: Usually related to loose scraper, deformation of support frame or abnormal driving components.

  ● Material leakage phenomenon: When the edge of the scraper is damaged or there is a gap between the scraper and the conveyor belt, material leakage is likely to occur.

Regular inspection and cleaning

  ● Regularly check whether the cleaner equipment is operating normally, including checking the wear of the cutter head and whether the connecting parts are loose, etc. Problems found should be dealt with promptly to avoid the expansion of the fault.

  ● Regularly clean the residue, oil and debris on the surface of the conveyor belt and keep it clean and dry. This not only reduces frictional resistance and improves transmission efficiency, but also prevents contaminants from causing erosion and damage to the cleaner.
