Production Process
● Roller core treatment: First, thoroughly clean the U groove roller core to remove surface oil, impurities or old coatings (if any). This step is key to ensuring good adhesion between the coating and the roll core.
● Surface roughening treatment: Increase the surface roughness of the roller core through physical or chemical methods to increase the friction between the polyurethane coating and the roller core and ensure the firmness of the rubber coating.
● Lagging: Apply the pre-prepared polyurethane material evenly on the surface of the roller core to form the required coating. This step requires precise control of the amount and uniformity of material to ensure the quality of the coated wheel.
● Vulcanization: After the rubber lagging is completed, vulcanization treatment is required. Vulcanization is the process of cross-linking and curing of polyurethane materials, which can enhance the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the material. The vulcanization time depends on the specific formula and process conditions, and usually takes several hours to more than ten hours.
● Grinding and trimming: After vulcanization is completed, the rubber-coated wheel is ground and trimmed to remove burrs and uneven parts on the surface to achieve the required size and shape accuracy.
